ALBANY, N.Y. (WCAX) – Gov. Kathy Hochul has signed legislation to expand health care access for New Yorkers.
The package includes two bills. The first requires Medicaid reimbursement when emergency services treat patients in place. The second authoritizes certain emergency services to administer blood transfusions.
North Country Assemblyman Billy Jones, D-New York 115th District, was a sponsor of the bill. In a statement, he said, in part: “I’m proud to have cosponsored legislation that will help our Emergency Medical Services and EMTs here in the North Country.”
