ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont singer-songwriter Noah Kahan is taking the stage Thursday in a benefit concert for mental health.
Kahan is playing a sold-out show at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds in Essex Junction.
All the proceeds from the show benefit the Busyhead Project, a nonprofit founded by Kahan that provides resources and information to Vermonters struggling with mental health issues.
We caught up with some eager fans before the show.
“He’s a really good performer, I really connect with his music, so seeing him play live is just even better than hearing it on Spotify,” said Mary Faenza of Vermont.
“I was thinking for a minute that I wasn’t going to be able to go because I have to miss like three days of school, but I’m glad I convinced them to let me go,” said Avery Davis of Louisiana.
Tickets for the show cost anywhere from $90 to $500 for a VIP experience.
The concert kicks off at 8 p.m. The show is on “Noah Kahan’s Busydead Project Day” in Vermont, thanks to a proclamation from the governor.
