UVM student arrivals likely to slow Burlington traffic

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Thousands of University of Vermont students are starting to arrive on campus, and that could mean traffic trouble in Burlington.

Roughly 2,800 first-year students will move onto the UVM campus Wednesday and Thursday.

Signs are up on Main and Pearl streets by the university, warning drivers to find other routes because of anticipated congestion.

On-campus move-in for returning students is Sunday.

The first day of classes at UVM is on Monday.
