CHICAGO (WCAX) – President Joe Biden had top billing on the opening day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday, but many other speakers also lined up at the podium.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul spoke at the convention on Monday, praising the work done by the Biden-Harris administration.
“We have kids to feed, roads to build, jobs to create, real problems to solve. And we need leaders who can get it done,” said Hochul, D-New York. “Trump talked big about bringing back manufacturing jobs but you know who actually did it? President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Thank you, Joe. Thank you, Kamala.”
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is expected to speak at the convention Tuesday. Other Tuesday speakers include former President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and second gentleman Doug Emhoff.
