BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – An encampment went up in flames earlier Tuesday evening.
Burlington fire crews say just after 6:00 p.m., they got a report of a fire in the woods on Lake Street, off the bike path near the sailing center.
When they arrived on the scene, they found a 30 x 30 ft encampment on fire.
Firefighters say they quickly extinguished the flames and the fire was contained to the encampment site.
They couldn’t find any occupants in the area and no one reported any injuries..
