BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The University of Vermont’s board of trustees met in executive session Monday to discuss the appointment of an interim president.
It comes after the announcement that the current president, Suresh Garimella, will become president of the University of Arizona.
A UVM representative told WCAX News the board has a singular candidate in mind.
At Monday’s meeting, they are going through the bureaucratic motions of appointments.
If all goes according to plan, they expect to release the name of the interim president at some point Monday evening.
