The Democratic National Convention kicks off Monday in Chicago. It comes just four weeks after President Joe Biden shuttered his campaign and made way for Vice President Kamala Harris to ascend to the top of the Democrats’ ticket. The four-day gathering of thousands of activists and party leaders from across the nation is designed to celebrate and strengthen Harris as President Joe Biden’s replacement and boost her campaign to defeat Republican Donald Trump in November.
