Crews resume search for missing swimmer in Mad River

WARREN, Vt. (WCAX) – Search and recovery efforts continue Wednesday for a New Jersey man believed to have drowned in the Mad River last week.

Authorities say Tuan Baldino, 35, of Paramus, N.J. was at Warren Falls with friends Saturday when he slipped while trying to cross the river. He never resurfaced.

Crews searched over the weekend but had to suspend their efforts Monday due to the fast-moving water.

It was the second swimming fatality this month after a Morristown teen died last Wednesday.

Warren Falls is closed to the public while the search is underway.
