BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A man with nearly 230 law enforcement encounters in the past year is back on Burlington streets again.
Burlington police say they arrested Patrick Ibbotson, 37, of Burlington, once on Thursday and Friday, and then twice on Saturday for violating conditions of release.
After police arrested Ibbotson Thursday, they say they identified him on surveillance video burglarizing Burlington City Arts on July 25.
The most recent incident happened around 4 p.m. Saturday, when police say they got a call that Ibbotson was banging on the doors at the Cathedral of St. Joseph after already having been removed from the building.
Police arrested him, and then a judge released him to appear in court at a later time.
Police say Ibbotson has been arrested 69 times and has 35 active criminal court cases pending in Vermont Superior Court.
