New Hampshire to get millions from PFAS settlements

CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) – New Hampshire will receive tens of millions of dollars from two PFAS settlements.

The Granite State is expected to get more than $65 million from the nationwide 3M and DuPont water settlements over the next few years.

New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella says the money will go toward the state’s clean water programs and public water systems.

Gov. Chris Sununu called it a win in the state’s work to limit exposure to harmful chemicals.

“New Hampshire has consistently been at the forefront of strengthening clean drinking water standards, improving water infrastructure, and protecting Granite Staters,” Sununu, R-New Hampshire, said in a statement. “This announcement is another win in our work to limit needless exposure to these harmful chemicals.”
