Thunderstorms prompt pause at Clinton County Fair

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – The Clinton County Fair opened Tuesday in Plattsburgh but has had to deal with some unfortunate weather so far, including closing early on Wednesday due to thunderstorms.

Officials say they called off the remainder of the day due to the ongoing thunderstorms. Even with the fair open earlier Wednesday, Nonstop rain meant the truck and tractor pull were already called off due to weather were already called off due to weather.

Those who purchased a wristband in advance will be able to use it on another day.

The fair will be back up and running Thursday morning starting at 8 a.m. and it runs through Saturday.
