St. Albans man faces assault, child cruelty charges

ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities say a St. Albans man faces aggravated assault and child cruelty charges following an incident last month.

Vermont State Police say the Northwest Unit for Special Investigations was notified on June 24 of an infant with significant injuries that had been brought to the UVM Medical Center. They say Jonathan Bombard, 25, was arrested soon after.

He is being held for lack of $5,000 bail and is due in court Wednesday.
