BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a man was assaulted and robbed in downtown Burlington in broad daylight Wednesday morning.
Burlington police say the 72-year-old man was withdrawing money from an ATM on the Marketplace at about 10:15 a.m., when a person grabbed his hand, knocking him down, and took the man’s wallet and cash.
Investigators say that person was Melody Phillips, 39, of Shelburne. Phillips was arrested about two hours later in Winooski, and later released on condition to stay off Church Street.
