New Derby rental store destroyed by fire

DERBY, Vt. (WCAX) – A Derby business was destroyed by fire on Friday.

The Farmyard Store & True Value Rental said in a Facebook post that their new rental store caught fire Friday morning.

They say the building is a complete loss and will need to be rebuilt, but no one was injured.

Derby and Derby Line fire departments battled the blaze.

There’s no word yet on what sparked that fire.
