BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Another school district can take the budget deadline off their calendars as the third time was the charm at a school funding plan.
Barstow Union School District passed its school budget yesterday by a margin of 220 votes.
This was the third budget vote for the Rutland Northeast Supervisory School District.
Earlier this week, Otter Valley Unified Union School District and Mount Abraham Union School District both passed their budgets on the third try.
That leaves five schools still waiting on budget revotes. If they don’t pass one before the July 1st deadline they will begin the new year on a budget that is 87% of the current year’s.
Those school districts are Alburgh, Barre, Enosburgh-Richford, Missisquoi Valley, and Slate Valley.
