BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A winter resource for homeless teens in the Burlington area is opening its doors year round.
Spectrum Youth and Family Services has been offering warming shelter operations in the winter since 2017, but thanks to donations, they will be able to keep the nightly shelter open for homeless youth even after the temperatures warm.
They say the 10-bed youth-friendly facility will fill an important gap in care and provide an overnight option when other shelters are full.
The shelter is located on South Winooski Avenue and is available for people ages 18 to 24.
