BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – New data from the Vermont Department of Health shows a second child under the age of 10 has died from COVID-19.
Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine called the death tragic. He added that the new dominant variant, KP2, has not shown signs of worsening symptoms than previous variants but is just as– if not more– transmissible.
Levine says Vermonters don’t need to change behaviors or mask up if they don’t want to, but they should consider getting the new COVID vaccine set to be released this fall.
