Deal reached to avert Canadian border agent strike

MONTREAL (WCAX) – A tentative deal has been reached to avert a strike at the Canadian border.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Customs and Immigration Union say they reached a tentative agreement for more than 9,000 CBSA workers.

Workers were prepared to take action on Friday if an agreement wasn’t reached over pay and other benefits.
