BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – WCAX has won an Edward R. Murrow Award for its coverage of the immigration crisis at the northern border.
Reporter Katharine Huntley, producer Daniela Fierro, and photographer Andy Goodrich won the award’s Hard News category for “Two-way traffic: Flood of Canadian-bound migrants seek hope.”
They reported on the surge of asylum seekers entering Canada from a dead-end road in Champlain, New York, that is now closed.
