BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont Fish and Wildlife is boasting a hot start to the bass fishing season.
Vermont’s catch-and-release bass fishing season is now underway.
With warm weather, minimal boat traffic, and plenty of fish, Fish and Wildlife says it’s some of the best fishing in New England.
Vermont’s catch-and-release bass fishing runs until June 8 and anglers are only allowed to use artificial lures.
After that, the regular bass season opens, and the harvesting of bass is allowed.
