BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A man who has had 1,700 encounters with the police pleaded not guilty on Monday to allegedly attacking firefighters in Burlington on a medical call.
Police say on Saturday afternoon, Michael Reynolds, 46, of Burlington, assaulted a fire captain with bodily fluids after acting uncooperative with authorities.
He was charged with assault on a protected professional and aggravated disorderly conduct.
Monday, Reynolds pleaded not guilty and was released on conditions.
Police say Reynolds has had 1,700 run-ins with authorities since 2012, including six felony convictions, 42 misdemeanor convictions and 13 assaultive crimes, including assault
on an officer and using dangerous or deadly weapons.
