Former Vt. Bread Company building bought by Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – The former Vermont Bread Company building in Brattleboro has a new owner.

The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation bought the building that sits right in its backyard.

Officials say the building is in great shape with utilities and infrastructure already in place and that demand for this type of real estate is high. No new tenants have been announced yet but officials are confident that area businesses will want to set up shop.

“There are several local folks who we know are in a position to grow and we hope can take advantage of this. In this type of project, we always find that timing is everything, so, who’s ready right now when it is available. And that is why it is so important for us to have excess inventory available,” said BDCC’s Adam Grinold.

He says the purchase price was $800,000 and that there is room for an additional structure to be built on the property.
