BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – Voting is underway in Barre as residents choose the next mayor.
Former Mayor Thom Lauzon wants his old job back. He was mayor from 2006 to 2018 and now sits on the City Council. The local developer and CPA says the flooding in the city last summer prompted him to run again.
He’s up against fellow City Councilor Samn Stockwell, who if elected, would become the city’s first woman to serve as mayor.
Reporter Lucy Caile will have the vote totals and reaction on the Channel 3 News at 11.
