BERLIN, Vt. (WCAX) – It’s a sure sign that spring has arrived — the Vermont Auction of Surplus Heavy Equipment and Vehicles takes place on Saturday.
From dump trucks to forklifts to trucks to snowmobiles, the annual auction in Berlin has a little something for everyone. State officials say the event in the past has helped recoup up to $1 million for state coffers, drawing bidders from Quebec and across New England.
The auction will also feature a booth with knives, corkscrews, and other pointy objects confiscated at the airport.
