Neighbors say South Hero men found dead were related

SOUTH HERO, Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities continue to investigate the death of two men whose bodies were found outside a home in South Hero Thursday.

The Vermont State Police say troopers responded to a home on Kibbe Farm Road after getting the report around 11 a.m. The two men, ages 68 and 35, were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Police have not released the identities of the two men or how they died. Autopsy results are expected later Friday.

Neighbors tell WCAX the two men were related and one of them was a well-known farmer in town.

Police have said the deaths are suspicious but would not confirm if it was a murder-suicide. They have said it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
