CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. (WCAX) – New York authorities say a wanted fugitive was arrested Wednesday night crossing into the country from Canada.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. at the Champlain Port of Entry. The Clinton County Sherriff’s Office as well as Customs and Border Protection arrested Antwon M. Jones, 26, for possession of a loaded handgun. They say says Jones is a fugitive from justice in Tennessee, where he faces charges of aggravated child abuse and criminally negligent homicide.
He is currently being held without bail.
