BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Newport man is facing federal charges in connection with several guns stolen from a local shop.
According to court paperwork, Tucker Jacobs, 27, was arrested last week in violation of a court-ordered curfew. When police searched him, they say they found one of the 10 guns stolen from Wrights Sports Supply on April 15th. They say he also had a photo of numerous guns connected to that incident on his phone.
Jacobs was charged with possession of a stolen firearm but not with stealing the guns. That part of the case is still under investigation.
