Hanover students compiling data from balloon eclipse experiment

HANOVER, N.H. (WCAX) – A group of Hanover High School students is reviewing data collected during an impressive experiment during Monday’s total solar eclipse.

The group collaborated with NASA to launch balloons with the goal of observing what happens when it’s in the air. Balloons were successfully launched in Rouses Point, New York, and reached altitudes of 96,000 and 130,000 feet. They were retrieved in Littleton, New Hampshire, where they were caught in trees.

The students were able to collect significant data which is currently being analyzed and will be compiled in a report.
