Crews respond to fire in Hanover apartment

HANOVER, N.H. (WCAX) – Fire crews in Hanover, New Hampshire responded to an apartment fire early Sunday morning. According to the Hanover Fire Department, crews responded to 32 West Wheelock Street just before 2 a.m. for smoke coming from the first floor. When crews arrived they were met with heavy smoke that was spreading throughout the building. They say they soon discovered a fire in the kitchen of one of the units and quickly knocked it down. The unit was significantly damaged, but all other units in the building were able to be reoccupied. The cause is still under investigation, but does not appear to be suspicious.
