LEBANON, N.H. (WCAX) – The Lebanon Police Department is welcoming a new K-9 officer to its ranks.
K-9 Echo is a 15-month-old Belgian Malinois. Lebanon police say they picked Echo after vetting numerous K-9 candidates. They say Belgian Malinois are known for being very intelligent, loyal, courageous and friendly.
Ofc. James Patt will be Echo’s handler.
The pair will attend two training programs on narcotics and patrol functions. After that, they will be assigned to Lebanon’s patrol bureau.
