The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Vermont says Marvin Byrd, 29, of Hartford, Connecticut, has been indicted for conspiring to distribute controlled substances, including fentanyl, in the Northeast Kingdom.

According to the criminal complaint, Byrd– who went by the name “T.J.” in Vermont– conspired with Britny Parris, 34, of Barton, and others to distribute drugs in and around Orleans County. Parris is awaiting sentencing.

Officials say Byrd was arraigned earlier this month and is being held pending further proceedings.
