MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont Senate passes a bill that would enhance flood safety efforts statewide.
It would in part address development in high hazard river corridors by implementing new regulations to keep future development outside of high risk areas.
The bill would also expand wetland protection and restoration as well as improve dam safety.
The Senate will vote again tomorrow before the bills heads to the house for consideration.
