Obama picks UVM Hoopcats for the upset in March Madness

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Former president Barack Obama has picked a Catamount upset in March Madness.

Mr. Obama released his annual bracket picks for the men’s and women’s tournaments on Tuesday.

The 44th president picked South Carolina to win the women’s title. On the men’s side, he picked UConn to win, going back-to-back as champs.

But he turned some heads with an early-round upset pick. The ex-commander-in-chief picked the 13-seed, UVM Catamounts to upset the the perennial blue bloods and 4th-seeded Duke in the South region.
