Gov. Hochul welcomes eclipse viewers to Empire State

ALBANY, N.Y. (WCAX) – The Empire State is gearing up for next month’s total solar eclipse.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is working to make sure everyone is enjoying the eclipse safely. That includes distributing “I Love NY” eclipse glasses at 30 locations across the state, including welcome centers.

She also reminds people to be aware of scams like fake accommodations and recommends measures like purchasing with a credit card and doing research about lodging and merchandise. Any consumer who encounters a marketplace problem can file a complaint with the Division of Consumer Protection at https://dos.ny.gov/consumer-protection.
