Dogs seized from Beekmantown rescue will soon be available for adoption

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – After three weeks of being housed at the Clinton County Jail, 48 dogs seized from a Beekmantown rescue operation will soon be ready for adoption.

The Clinton County Sheriff says Hilary Davis, the owner of a Canine Gem, turned over the dogs to the Elmore SPCA. Officials there say the dogs still need more medical care and will be posted to their adoption website as they become available.

Davis last week was charged with nearly 50 counts including animal abuse, failure to provide proper food and shelter, and forging documents related to the animals.
