BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Vermont doctor is charged with lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.
Vermont State Police say Christopher Manfred, 43, of Underhill, engaged in lewd and lascivious acts with a young girl whom he knows.
Police say Manfred is a doctor at UVM.
Troopers say their investigation into Manfred started in January 2023.
State police say Manfred turned himself in at the Berlin barracks on Monday. He is set to appear in court on Tuesday.
UVM Medical Center officials said they are monitoring the situation.
