BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A volunteer effort to assist refugees and migrants who didn’t speak English get information during the pandemic is now its fourth year.
The Vermont Language and Justice Project now has three full-time members of staff and 17 contractors who work in 18 languages. They have produced over 2,045 videos on YouTube and now boast 800 subscribers.
Ike Bendavid spoke with the organization’s director, Alison Segar, about how it works and the challenges of finding funding to keep it going.
