MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – A former math teacher from Lyndon has been appointed to a seat in the Vermont House.
Governor Phil Scott Friday appointed Beth Quimby to complete the term of GOP lawmaker Rep. Charles Wilson following his recent resignation.
Quimby was a math teacher at Barton Graded School for over 30 years, where she worked with the Agency of Education to support development and implementation of new tools and policy changes, including proficiency-based financial literacy standards, according to the governor’s office.
Quimby, a Republican, will be sworn in next week.
