Here’s a look at some of the other hot issues around the state that Vermonters voted on this Town Meeting Day.

BERLIN – Residents in Berlin approved a nonbinding resolution calling for their own zip code and post office.

BRANDON – On a 719-622 vote, Bradford voters gave the select board approval to hire more police officers in order to keep the department staffed 24/7 without overtime or on-call personnel.

BURLINGTON – Voters elect Progressive Emma Mulvaney-Stanak as the city’s first woman mayor. The Burlington school budget and tax increase vote passed along with a charter change extending Burlington Electric’s borrowing amount.

CAVENDISH – Voters said yes to adding cannabis dispensaries.

HIGHGATE – Voters said no to adding cannabis dispensaries.

KILLINGTON – Voters said yes to adding cannabis dispensaries.

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield voters approved a resolution calling for a cease-fire in Israel’s war in Gaza.

MIDDLEBURY – Middlebury residents voted to approve a $1.2 million infrastructure bill.

MONTPELIER – Residents have reelected Montpelier Mayor Jack McCullough. Voters in the Capital City also approved “just cause” protections for renters.

NEWFANE – Newfane residents approved a resolution calling for a cease-fire in Israel’s war in Gaza.

RICHMOND – Richmond voters approved a resolution calling for a cease-fire in Israel’s war in Gaza.

RYEGATE – Voters said no to adding cannabis dispensaries.

RUTLAND – Rutland voters on Tuesday once again rejected a proposal to ban fluoridation of the city’s drinking water.

SWANTON – Voters said no to a public safety facility for fire and police on a count of 444-130.

WINOOSKI – Winooski residents Tuesday approved a $4.6 million bond to improve the Burlington-Winooski Bridge.
