PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – We are learning new details about how much the Clinton County Legislature paid to four former jail employees in a settlement following allegations of workplace discrimination and sexual harassment.
Clinton County’s administrator says $50,000 in tax money was shelled out in the agreement. It’s still unclear how much the county’s insurance company also paid.
The county settled the harassment lawsuit in December and said it was a risk management decision.
Complaints filed with state and federal agencies found no evidence the county or sheriff’s department broke the law.
