Wind rips part of roof off hospital in Northern New York

TICONDEROGA, N.Y. (WCAX) – Wind damage from the wild weather ripped off part of the roof at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Ticonderoga.

A sharp cold front blasted through our region Wednesday night, bringing whipping winds and frigid temperatures.

Officials say the damage at the facility was confined to the senior care center portion of the hospital. They say it isn’t affecting any operations but that there is some leakage.
