BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Babies born on this– or any– leap day will only celebrate their actual birth dates every four years!
Little Carlo Fantoni was born on this leap day at 6:32 a.m. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces.
Parents Alexis and Daniel Fantoni are from Fairfax. Alexis went into labor around 1 a.m. and said the possibility of just one birthday party every four years is an exciting prospect.
“We figure with the cost of inflation it’s just best to go that way,” she joked.
“We’ll probably settle on the 28th,” Daniel said.
“We’ll probably end up celebrating on the 28th,” Alexis agreed.
Congratulations to the Fantonis! Carlo will officially turn 1 in the next leap year on Feb. 29, 2028.
And we’re hearing he’s not the only one; the UVM Medical Center says they had seven babies born so far on this leap day, with a couple more potentially on the way. They tell us that is more than usual.
