BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A government agency is on the move in Burlington.
The Economic Services Division of the Vermont Department for Children and Families will move from its Pearl Street location downtown to 128 Lakeside Ave.
That division of DCF handles programs like 3SquaresVT, Reach Up and seasonal fuel.
The office will move on the weekend of March 8. They say the new location will be up and running by March 11, with no interruption to service.
Officials say the new office is on the GMT bus route and has ample parking. Click here for more details.
The move comes as the state sells the Zampieri State Office Building on Pearl Street which currently houses DCF’s Economic Services Division.
Other state offices leaving that building and moving to Lakeside Ave. include the local office of the Department of Health; the local office of the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living; and the Department of Vermont Health Access-Vermont Chronic Care Initiative.
