BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The goal of the newly released Vermont Forest Future Strategic Roadmap is to keep Vermont forest management policies out of the woods.
The plan was developed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation.
It assesses the state of Vermont’s forest products sector and finds ways to update the industry and promote its longevity.
The plan also promotes the importance of healthy and sustainably managed forests.
The next steps involve forming a committee to implement the roadmap.
