BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A global event that you can participate in is just around the corner — and we’re not talking about the eclipse.
The Great Backyard Bird Count runs from February 16-19. Launched in 1998, the world comes tomes together each for four days in February to count as many birds as they can and report them. The observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations.
Reporter Ike Bendavid spoke with David Hewitt and Mark LaBarr from the Green Mountain Audubon Center to find out how to participate.
