Classes go on after reported threat at Vermont school

HINESBURG, Vt. (WCAX) – Police were called to Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg on Friday following a threat.

State police and Hinesburg officers responded to the school shortly after 9:30 a.m.

Investigators say the threat involved a person from outside the school community. They did not say what kind of threat it was or how the threat was delivered.

Troopers say CVU increased security protocols related to building access, but classes went on as usual, and students will be dismissed at their regular time.

Police say they will remain at CVU for the rest of the school day.

Investigators said due to the age of the people involved, no other information was available.
