BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police are investigating a suspicious death in St. Johnsbury.
Police were called to a parking lot near 510 Portland St. just before 6 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a vehicle with apparent bullet holes and a person slumped over inside the car.
Officers found an adult woman dead in the vehicle. They have not released her name.
Investigators say they believe this was an isolated event and there is no threat to the public.
The woman’s body was sent to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death.
