HomeShare Vermont is a non-profit organization with 40
years of experience providing comprehensive screening and
matching service to people who have a home to share and
others looking for a place to live. Our services are open to
people of all ages and incomes.
How it Works!
For Hosts
Each homeshare is unique.
Whether you rent or own a home, if you have a spare bedroom, homeshare could be for you.
Homesharing can offer you rental income, a share of household expenses, and/or some help around the house. You set the parameters of what you are looking for and we try to find just the right person for you. In the end, you decide who to live with and what the house rules will be.
For Guests
If you are looking for an affordable place to live, homesharing could be for you.
Hosts are often elders or others who are looking for companionship or a helping hand with anything from cooking and housekeeping to computer help and walking the dog.
Other homeshare opportunities focus simply on sharing household expenses or rental income. You will tell us what you are looking for and we try to find it.
Open House
If you have friends, family members, or aging parents who might benefit from some additional income to pay the bills or who could use a bit of household help, tell them about homesharing and how it could be of benefit. Invite them to join HomeShare Vermont’s Open House on Thursday, June 9th, from 4:00 – 6:00pm to learn about the program and meet the team!
