This past weekend, I had the experience of a lifetime at this year's Osheaga Music Festival and being a part of the events media corp. The event was paused after 2019 due to the pandemic and came back in full force in 2022 when a young up-and-comer by the Name of Dua Lipa headlined. Nick Farkus, the founder of the festival, spends his entire year flying around the world looking for talent to put together this festival. He even mentioned how some artists who have been in the smaller states in the past have come back to headline, such as Billie Eilish. This reference brings me to my sit down with Montreal-based singer and songwriter Minoe. Who was selected to perform on this year's Sirius XM stage for an act that will be huge tomorrow and could headline the festival in the future. We discussed her work with Legendary producer Housefly and how it felt to go from Osheaga spectator to Osheaga performer.
