BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – As we celebrate Black History Month here in Vermont, The Vermont African American Heritage Trail gives some insight into the significance of many locations across the region to African American History and Civil Rights.
The trail, established a decade ago, takes visitors to dozens of historic and cultural sites that illuminate the lives of African Americans in Vermont and New York’s North Country.
Clarie Jones spoke with Curtiss Reed Jr., the trail’s director.
